SSC will conduct the Computer Based Examination (CBE) for various Group “B” and Group “C” posts in different Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Government of India from 2nd March to 11th March 2020.

SSC CGL Eligibility :
Candidates who aspire to write the SSC CGL 2019 Exam must understand the Eligibility criteria properly. There are 4 criteria for the exam – 3 are for everyone, 1 is only for certain posts.
The eligibility criteria for the SSC CGL Exam is as follows:
- Citizenship– Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan
- SSC CGL Age Limit- Must be between the age group of 18 years to 32 years
- Qualification- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University
- Physical Fitness– Only for candidates for certain posts like Inspector, Sub- Inspector, etc.
There is also certain SSC CGL Age limit relaxation for reserved candidates.
The candidates appearing in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess Essential qualification on or before 01st January 2020.
For posts of Assistant Section Officer (CSS), Assistant Section Officer (MEA), Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under M/o Corporate Affairs, Assistant (GSI) in M/o Mines, Computer Proficiency Test has also been prescribed as an Essential Qualification.
“The degree obtained from distance education or open universities are acceptable under the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria, but the University should have recognition from Distance Education Council, IGNOU.”
SSC CGL Age Limit :
As per the latest SSC CGL 2019 notification from Staff Selection Commission, the age limit for CGLE 2019 will be calculated as on 1st January 2020.

SSC has a prescribed physical standard eligibility for the following posts: Sub Inspector NIA, Inspector in Central Excise, Examiner, Preventive Officer and /Inspector & Sub-Inspector in CBN.
